We Welcome You To Be A Part Of Our Convention
In Person
More than anything, we want to see you and your products at the conference.
Vendors will be in the large ballroom with us. All classes and meals will be in the large ballroom. Vendor-dedicated time is in the middle of the day on Saturday, but members will have a chance to visit between classes and at meals too.
You are welcome and invited to spend just Saturday, July 15 with us, or stay the entire time. We welcome getting to know you. Join us for any/all of our meals.

The annual photography conference hosted by the Missouri Professional Photographers Association. This year it is in St Louis, MO.
Sometimes we need to step away to become inspired and energized...
Develop MOPPA has many opportunities to meet fellow photographers and see what others are doing in their photography and business.

We are competing in our photography, but you will find that everyone is there to help and share. There are many stories of how photographers have helped one another in their time of need. We understand the importance to build these relationships to better our photography businesses.

Fashion Posing & Lighting with Seniors.
David Beckham ...
...is an award winning photographer that specializes in fashion and senior photography. Let's face it. If you asked your 17 year old daughter if she wanted her senior portraits taken by a baby/family photographer or a fashion photographer, well you already know the answer.
Hands-on session, bring your camera!
David's work has scored very high with the Professional Photographers of America and has been published in multiple national publications like Shutter Magazine and Senior Style Guide. He speaks and teaches nationally and holds multiple workshops where people come from all over the country to learn to use the camera and light the way he does.
We will be looking at multiple types of lighting: Studio Strobes, OCF, LED Studio and outside. We will also be using multiple modifiers to achieve different effects and results. This will be a hands-on class so bring your cameras and Godox triggers. Throughout each of the lighting set-ups, we will be learning the Elements of Posing. By breaking down posing into simple steps we can learn how to pose any body type in any situation. We will be using HS models so that we can get great photos as well.
the backstory
The MOPPA has hosted an annual educational conference every year since 1940 (with the exception of one year for war, as stated in our history). It has had different names over the years but has always had the same goal: to educate, encourage, and honor Missouri photographers.
MOPPA members in good standing will receive one state fellowship point from the Missouri PPA for attending three days of Develop.
In addition, PPA national members in good standing will receive one national education merit from PPA for attending three days of Develop.
