Taking inspiration from the most significant painters and photographers, Brian will explore the many aspects of composition. How to lead the viewer's eye, visual weight, balance, the myths of divine proportions and a plethora of ideology to create fundamentally sound and creative compositions that go way beyond the simple "rule of thirds". Composition is NOT a formula; it is a the arrangement of objects based on their visual weight.

Brian DeMint
Brian DeMint is an art/fashion photographer based in Joplin, Missouri. Formally trained as an oil painter, he switched to photography in 2004 and is self-educated in photography and digital manipulation. By combining the classic elements of design with digital technologies, he strives to create visually striking imagery emphasizing emotional color and unique styling with the help of his wife, Dena, who provides hair styling and makeup application.
Brian's publishing credits include Digital Photo Pro, Cliche' Magazine, Sessions Magazine, AfterCapture Magazine, Cut & Dry, Conceptual Magazine and many fashion-based magazines. Brian lectures on a national level as a six-year speaker for Shutterfest, PPA state events, Imaging USA 2013, Canadian Imaging 2012, Seven After-Dark workshops, Sandy Puc' tours and Inferno workshops and has appeared on the PhotoVision dvd series.
