Dave was a friend and mentor to many. There was not a photographer that he did not want to help. It was very important to Dave to promote education in this industry. Dave was extremely knowledgeable and talented. Dave was so supportive of all the work that MOPPA has done over the years as he wanted the industry to be a successful industry and that is what MOPPA continues to do.Dave worked hard at the conferences and behind the scenes. If something needed to be done he was there from start to finish. He was always involved behind the scenes at print competitions as well as an affiliate judge. He was always there to help critique any image for anyone. Dave always entered competition and firmly believed that everyone should do so as it would be quite educational. Dave was an award winning photographer. He was recipient of many service awards for his time, service and dedication to many organizations. Dave was presented the National Award by MOPPA, HOA and other organizations as well. Dave will live on with the knowledge he shared, the images he created, and through the friendships he made.

A scholarship fund will continue his legacy to further the education of future recipients.
